The spur trails to the Inyo Mountains often led to abandoned mines, they were extra rocky! Going faster with more power reduced the impact and vibration from the rocks. The trails were wide enough for an ATV.

An easterly view into the Inyo Mountains. The terrain was rugged, at one point; donkey driven wagons full of ore from the numerous mines that dot that region were traversing these trails.
