Cuddeback Dry Lake
Arnel and Stan right by the rocky slopes of the Sierras enjoying the views east towards the Inyo mountains and the Alabama Hills.
It was time for us to head back before dark. Wish we had more time to take some more pictures of this incredibly scenic trail ride! I really enjoyed meeting and riding with both Arnel and Stan and looking forward to the next ride in that area.
The next day, Saturday Nov. 4th. I checked into the Randsburg inn and by noon I was heading to Tom's base camp at the Cuddeback dry lake. The weather was cool with a picture perfect blue sky.
Tom was recovering from a serious accident riding his KTM on a tough and rocky Trail in Big Bear a few month back and was anxious to take his family for an outing on the lake bed. Tom severly injured his leg and it required surgery.
Tom's daughters Hayley and Heather at 13 and 6 years of age, his youngest; Ashlynn at 4, was getting ready to ride her bike.
Ashlynn on her bike, beware of this dare devil in disguise while riding the trails; she was really running that thing full throttle!
Yeeeee Haaaaaa.... she was all over the place just having tons of fun! Cuddeback Lake is an ideal place for kids and starters because of the wide open spaces. The nearest camper to our location was about a quarter mile away!
