Cleo at our Sequoia National Park camp. Barbecues were not allowed because of fire hazard, so we brought our own food, which we prepared at the Lazy Jay inn. After the meal, I noticed the sign warning of bears, especially mothers and their cubs. I swiftly placed everything in the truck and shut down all the windows as Cleo kept a lookout. |

After lunch, we drove to Kings Canyon National Park, which borders Sequoia, and lavished at the gushing crisp waters of the melting snow. The water was cold, but that did not stop Cleo from taking a dip. |
